Instead of hiding the production, we made it part of the picture.
The rigs, lights and crew stayed visible, giving the film a rawer sense of energy and making the process itself part of the visual language. Shooting in monochrome helped keep the world graphic and focused.
It is a good example of a production where the making of the image became part of the image.
